Great colours and texture Avril, love the detail too.

Agreed this is super work Avril. great colours and textures

And you are so good at depicting them, too!! It is always lovely to come on the gallery and be greeted by one of your super paintings. I know that I would come hopelessly unstuck if I tried to home in on a detail like you do, which makes me admire your skills even more. I just love the combination of the blue (cerlulean?) and the burnt sienna of the rust - a delicious mix of colours.

Thank you Carole, Ros and Thea. I had fun doing the metal here as there's loads of spattering ! Colours are mixes of manganese blue (transparent) and Delft blue; burnt sienna and brown madder.

This really is wonderful. It works on so many levels. Well done.

This is lovely study Avril - you have achieved wonderful textures and I particularly like the rusty metal - altogether a very effective and attractive painting.

Super painting again Avril!!

Happy that you like my old door everyone; thanks for taking a moment to tell me.

The combination of old wood and metal is what you do best, Avril! This is a real gem - gorgeous textures and colors. In answer to your question about Fabio's workshop, I'm the one in the purple checked trousers in the group painting!

Love your work Avril. The colours sing!
