Kennington Station

Kennington Station

Yet another informative sketch Seth, such a great style of drawing.

I never knew there were so many stations in London, have you ever counted them Seth? This is another super piece of work.

Thanks, Alan. Thanks, Margaret. There are 270 working tube stations in London. I don’t think I’ll get to paint them all.😀

This is another brilliant one Seth! Love the loosely sketched houses behind the station...I'm still hoping for Boston Manor on the Picadilly Line!!!

Thanks, Thalia. Architecturally, Boston Manor Station is a bit ordinary, but you never know. 😀

We use to live behind this station just as the war started!

I know it well from way back. Up to your usual high standard, Seth.

Another great composition Seth, nice gentle colours 😀

Excellent Seth, lots of information. I’m not familiar with most of the stations you’ve already posted, so it’s an education for me.

Forgot to add....I like how you have left the houses blank in the background.

Love it, Seth, great.

Cricket... boring :) but not your painting Seth, I like the looseness of it and the way you've left the background houses unpainted.

Very good sketch Seth keep up the good work

Great detail Seth. You said in a comment on John Inkson's painting you would love to try oils but don't know how to start. I would recommend Robert Jones's ("our" R J) book "Oil Paint Basics", available as a kindle e-book. It has the most practical basic info on oil painting that I have come across, and would get you started.

Than you all for your kind comments. Thanks for the info, Sandra. I will certainly check it out.

Hang on Studio Wall

On the Northern Line. Exit here for the Oval cricket ground.
