A very loose sketchbook en plein air watercolour. A complicated scene with lots going on with buildings, figures, perspective and much more so really important to simplify. I love these kinds of paint sketches, which often serve as a prequel to another painting, so they're essential for my process. Winsor and Newton on cartridge paper.
