Painted with no planning or drawing. I walked into my studio and felt like painting a portrait. So alla prima,take risks and just sketch with a brush to try and capture a feeling in a glance. To practice my observational skills, I painted very quickly, with confidence - any mistakes stay in, no second thoughts or corrections. I practice this a lot to get my daily brush time in. Paynes Grey Winsor and Newton on Bockingford Rough 140lb.
