Nicely drawn, simple line work and effective!

Thank you Alan, if only simple was simple :)

A lovely drawing!

Indeed… that tree is just stunning!

Super sketching Ashley.

I agree with Alan, that wash of colour is also so well placed and that tree far from simple!

Bless you everyone that's really kind 😊 thank you

That is superb - just love the subject of this painting!

Fabulous work

I don't believe technology will ever make the hand of an artist redundant, and I hope it doesn't, too. This is a very good drawing: is there an under-wash, or is that the colour of the paper? Did you only use a graphite pencil, or is there a bit of carbon, or charcoal, or ink? Do not let me pressurize you into revealing your methods and materials! But it would be interesting.

Thank you Chris. I always encourage people to draw or at least try. It's helped me so much

Hi Robert, it's nothing more than a very weak wash of raw umber, yellow ochre I think and a soft HB pencil on cartridge paper. I draw a lot and this is one of many, I pity the person who has to sort my artwork out when I die, my wife said she'll just burn it 😆 being a career firefighter that upsets me 😁

A great drawing and a super tree Ashley.

Thank you Diane 😊

Since a young age I have always drawn and sketched. It forms a very important part of my painting process. I came across this drawing which I think I drew around 2018, a year before I started painting seriously. In a world of virtual assistance and iPens I still love the challenge of a piece of paper, a pencil and observation to create an image.
