The Viking.

The Viking.

I've painted this view several times but this is better than my attempts, well done!

very clever, i like this and it is probably not as easy to do as you have made it look.

Clever effect, well executed, face appears more incistently on the thumbnail. Best Mick

very clever effect...........wonderful

Thanks - this view of Sheepwash Bridge is also known to the locals as "The Viking" because the reflection in the water and the conical tree over the bridge make it look like a Viking's helmet. It wasn't entirely an original idea of mine to paint it like this. I just enhanced the effect that was already there.

This is super Margaret, and it has only taken me going for 18 months to realise that!

Hang on Studio Wall

The view is actually Sheepwash Bridge, Ashford-in-the-Water, Derbyshire. It's a view I've painted many times "straight" and is elsewhere in my gallery.
