Interesting method and you have made it work for me, don't see bluebell woods in OZ, mores the pity.

Oil Pastel and Watercolour. Oil pastel was used for the bluebells, some of the foliage, texturing on the tree trunks and moss on the rocks. Then watercolour was painted over and the oil pastel acted like a wax resist.
