St. Mary's Lighthouse
Watercolour on 140lb "Not". The lighthouse, a well known N.E. coast landmark, stands on a small tidal island with a causeway to the mainland. At high tide the causeway is submerged. The lighthouse ceased operation in1984 and is now a Visitor Centre.
About the Artist
I was born in 1940 in Newcastle Upon Tyne and lived for many years in the Northeast. I left school with "O" levels including Art, which I'd really enjoyed.
