Like the unusual view and the painting style.

This is the view from one side of babbacombe beach over to the other. I cannot get the light right on the water so any advice would be very welcome. This is still a work in progress but I don't want it to become over worked and that's what I feel the water is becoming. I'm still very very much learning as this is only my 2nd attempt at painting. I'm usually more photography and sculpting. I quite like the feeling of being out of my comfort zone! The painting is taken from a photograph I took 3 weeks ago when the bay was lovely and quiet, the sea itself was calm and still. I just don't feel I'm capturing the serenity. I've never been on a forum before so not sure what I'm doing but if you managed to read this then....cheers!
