Acrylic on canvas I have always admired Fridas painting and her resilience to life despite the physical and emotional barriers that she constantly lived with. Eyes are the windows to the soul some say. Her strong connections to her native Mexico are showed by the brightest of the weaving and the lush leaves, the veins of which are painted red, like blood they connect her to the land she loved.
