Someone really should commission a new edition of Carroll, using your paintings. You've brought a new insight into the characters, and an atmosphere all your own.

Petra, Thank you so much for looking and your kind words, they are much appreciated. This one is my personal favourite out of the five in the series. I used several reds here and adore poppies. Thought the opium poppies linked in well with this smoking caterpillar :) Kind regards ~ Anni

Robert, thank you for such a compliment :) It has been very enjoyable rereading Alice and putting my own spin on things. I am somewhat hooked now and feel these aren't the last of her and her adventures. Hope you are enjoying some warm weather and plenty of painting? Kind regards ~ Anni ;)

The Blue Caterpillar by Anni Morris Acrylic on canvas Size: 12 x 12 inches Acrylic on canvas Size: 12 x 12 inches One of a series of paintings I have been working on, based on the theme of Lewis Carolls book Alice in Wonderland. I have so enjoyed painting on theme I hope to continue it and maybe include Alice Through the Looking Glass too. These paintings are for an exhibition which is opening tomorrow called Pocket Rockets. It is being held by the NZ Art Guild and 19 artists are submitting work. All works are small, no larger than 12 x 12 inches. It is at the Art Station Art Gallery, Anzac Avenue, Dunedin, New Zealand and runs until the 22nd May. Cheers ~ Anni www.annimorris.com
