Hi ~Anni an unusual subject but illustrated in your unique way...powerful supportive water me thinks? I like it.

love your style...........

Interesting subject Anni. I am just reading "Sepulchre" by Kate Mosse, a novel with the Tarot as a central theme in the drama. If you haven't already you might enjoy it - on a dark windy night by candlelight, God it's creepy!

What an extensive gallery love your works..... Great painting and info.If you design a whole deck of cards look at getting them printed !! Im not sure with who but wouldnt be hard to find out. Regards Paul.

Thanks Phil, Ruthey, Robert and Paul...so good to hear from all of you :)) even if you are 12,000 miles distant! Oh the wonders of technology. Yes, there is often heaaaaps of symbolism in paintings...all it not what it seems huh? Thanks for the tip about the book Rob, I'll look it up...I look spooky stories. I often downstream BBC plays off the internet and listen to them while I paint. And Paul I wish....but would I ever be disciplined enought to paint an entire tarot pack. Hope to chat again all - Best regards ~ Anni :)

Acrylic on canvas I am slowly learning the tarot. This is my own interpretation on one of the cards from the pack ‘The Star’. Stars have long been seen as symbols of hope, regeneration, vision and new life. When this card appears, you know somehow that life is just about to become easier and brighter. A positive future is ahead. A beautiful naked woman pours out water… her emotional release she will be free to turn and see the new wonders that life now offers.
