Nice one ~Anni your usual colourful fantastic illustrative surrealism...and a good story to go with it...absolutely brilliant...I like it.

Hi Phil, Hope the painting is going well? Has your summer come properly yet? We are in the dark depths of winter here, had some snow up on the tops of the hills last weekend and several weeks of rain. This painting was a bit of fun and it won the challenge which was a bonus. I like the brainstorming and thinking part as much as the actual painting to tell you the truth. What have you got on the go at present? Thanks for looking in. Best regards ~ Anni :)

Title: Innocent Partner Medium: Acrylic on stretched canvas Size: 500mm x 600mm This was a painting I recently finished. It was an art challenge held by the New Zealand Art Guild. Four things ha to be incorporated in an artwork, they were: innocence, orange, umbrella and triangle. Here is Little Red Riding Hood (the innocent) although she doesn’t look it here…with the Big Bad Wolf who has offered her shelter under his umbrella as it has started to snow again. She is on her way to take some fruit (orange amongst them) to her elderly Grandma who lives in a cottage deep in the forest. I wanted to interpret ‘triangle’ in the three character relationship i.e. Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandma and the Big Bad Wolf. Alternatively sections of the umbrella are triangular in shape.
