This reminds me of seaweed floating in the sea. I like it a lot. What freedom! Well done.

I love this painting, a balance of texture and cool colours and just a hint of warmth in the background. Did you use masking for the spots? These have a great softness!

Thankyou Jeannette and Steven for your kind comments, the spots were dropped onto the surface last of all using white Windsor and Newton Gouache, when the paper was still slightly damp. Here i used only cartridge paper, I like the way the paint slides around on the surface and the fact that you cannot work too much over the surface of the paper or it will fall apart! This makes for a very rapid style of painting. I 'm not worried about runs and drips etc. Annie

This is gorgeous too. i love your style & use of colour, best wishes, colleen ps i know what you mean about cartridge, it forces you to not mess about & keep it simple & clean, speaking for myself really :) Thanks for showing us!

This is lovely. I agree with all the comments above. This style of painting is very much living dangerously as you never know quite what is going to happen. If you are lucky, very happy accidents occur. It shows in this work that you have taken the brave attitude of letting the paint speak for itself - if you know what I mean. Really well done.

I really like this as it reminds me of Chinese painting. I like your Crackerjack too,
