Hi Annette, Thanks for your nice comments on my work. And thanks for the memory of this mountain. It's been 50 years since I saw it, and it hasn't changed a bit! Well maybe a millimetre or two has been worn off it. :) I like this painting and you have renedered the textures well The image conveys the forbidding nature of this place, and it looks just as it can in bad weather. In fact 'The Beuckle' looks a real test, on the sunniest of days. Nice work. Regards John

You have certainly caught the mood with this one Annette. The eerie atmosphere is palpable. I like the use of colour and your bold strokes, especially in the sky. Recalling how I felt when I first went there in 1967. I will never forget my first experience of Glencoe! I must try an oil of this myself; but it would only be possible from a photograph now. John
