Recently, I visited a friend's stables where I was introduced to this young and very vital animal. He possibly has an interesting future ahead of him, but at that moment all he wanted to know was if I had any sugar lumps or carrot or, best of all, a ginger biscuit, to give him. The work was deliberaly painted in a soft finish with watercolour paints on 300 gsm paper, as I felt that had outlines would not suit this attractive creature.
