This is really good work Ann, lovely sense of sense of depth looking through the gate to the field and far hedge, good work on the stone walls as well either side of the gate, lovely trees and greenery, I would say it was well worth it Ann!

Worth it? I'd say so Ann - the exquisite half-tones alone vindicate your decision.

Definitely worth it. Love the sense of light.

Definitely worth it I should say! Wonderful light streaming through the canopy of trees and over the gate. Very nicely done with a delicate and sensitive touch.

Thanks everyone for your kind and encouraging comments - will try to make more of an effort!

Definitely worth is. I have been enjoying your re-posts too. Great use of colours and textures.

and it's a 'Yes' from me too!

Thanks too Gudrun and Debs - having looked at both your portfolios, there is no way I could achieve what either of you two manage to do!

Add me to the 'yes' vote Ann, good feeling of light and shade. I took a photo of a similar scene the other day, might have a go at, now I've seen yours!

If this is your front gate - it looks like mine - lovely feel about this one - thanks for looking at my work.

Hi Ann, just seen your super comment on my latest dog pastel portrait 'Leon', great to hear from you again and really pleased you like that pastel portrait so much, I agree that it is my best yet and the original photographer on the paintmyphoto loves it as well, and commented on that site that several people have tried to paint the chocolate Labrador dog, but no one had done anything like this, so I am in that lovely phase in the day after a successful posting when we can sit back a bit and enjoy reading the comments, which is good because the weather is horrid here this morning!

Gosh you are a beautiful Artist Ann. I have to apologies profusely for putting so many paintings on at once. I forgot about the fist page but somebody lifted one of my paintings and said they had painted it themselves (I don't think it was from this site but I don't know) and the were trying to use it in a simulation programme so I replaced the paintings I already had there with ones with copyright on them. I was so intent on getting that done I forgot the front page. Want happen again. Sorry

Hi Ann thanks for your comment on my 'Angel' pastel portrait of the 2 yr old, and you are probably right of course 2yrs old are never that angelic are they!!
