Angela. This one I do love (maybe because it is similiar subject matter to many of my own paintings - you can see some on http://www.michaeledwardsartist.co.uk/). The techniques used are just right - the darks of the main subject contrasting with the fading out of the adjacent buildings - great stuff.

Thanks to everyone who has commented on my pictures - I have managed bit by bit to a build the exhibition here - now I'm going to take a little time to browse the other work on display - I'm looking forward to it!

I really enjoyed the intricate pen-work on the balcony of this French cafe scene which has proved popular with the tourists.
