An interesting procedure!

Lovely work Angela. Good luck with your exhibition.

Many thanks Sarah,Stephen,John,David, and Carole for your kind comments on this Monoprints of the Black Swan expressed in a solemn pose... They are magnificent birds to watch and always inspire.... Actually I reserved this one to try out a Monoprints upon a sheet of glass...gouache dries out very quickly but it worked well in terms of transfering the print...think I gave it a few attempts and making sure it presses into place is what gives a morphed look... It was wet upon wet and the saturation needed to be timed according to how the pigment adhered to the wet surface....anyway its always best to dip the watercolour paper into tepid water and let it drip before resting it upon the painted glass surface...

Interesting technique, but perhaps these swans need to get back to Australia as our native white ones don’t like them.

Thankyou Linda, Yes, these Black Swans are interesting to watch and probably better staying in Australia where they belong!

A mono print painted in gouache on glass then replicated upon watercolour paper. I created three monoprints to exhibit in an exhibition held each October.....
