I really like what you are doing with these Angela. A good subject to with the red beaks. It's ar very clever technique

Why thankyou Julie, It's just an experiment as haven't attempted monoprinting for ages...the gouache paint dries pretty fast so the process requires the watercolour pad to be dampened before hand. I didn't use much watering the process only dabbed straight from the palette as it needs to be spread evenly over the glass surface. Dabbed white over the blue and it created a jagged effect ...printing kind of brings out an impression.

It's fascinating what you are achieving. I understand about goache. Just put a picture up just now all in goache and it does dry very sharpish.

Generally associated with oil based paint, you’ve done well here with the gouache - interesting piece!
