"Öde to Adelle"

Comments

Super Angela. I remember a book as a child which was beautifully illustrated with children as flowers - maybe it was an Arthur Rackham does anyone remember this?

Thank you Heather, I cannot recollect the book but will research it at the library as during the time I painted this picture I had been tutoring Art for a group where some children with Down syndrome enjoyed painting on leaves and one such leaf had a black cat painted on it, and looked so sweet. I picked some geranium leave pads and started experimenting to see how the acrylic worked, it brought back memories of a baby and so I painted Adelle as she was spedding through in the corn fields ....

Painted upon geranium leaf pad. One of the names chosen for our sweet daughter was Adelle and it was like visualizing a baby and the fields of corn. Nature predicts re-births and forms , a kind of premonition as expressed on geranium leaf pad.
