During my first stay at Assissi, something of a pilgrimage for me, I visited the retreat house dedicated to him, above the town. It was that I came across this wonderful bronze of Saint Francis, relaxed, lying down, just enjoying the beauty of the stars in the sky overhead. What made it emphasize his well-attested love of nature and beauty, are the two companions, also studying the stars, but with concerned, very unrelaxed expressions as they try to work out which is which! A lovely touch of humor by the artist that I'm sure Francis would have loved! What do you think? Love and God bless 🙂❤️🕊🙏🌷

You have captured this bronze so very well Andrew. It is nice to see a statue in a more informal pose.

Thank you, Spencer, for that really postive feedback, and I so agree! love and God bless bless 🙂🕊🙏🌷

I love this one, Andy, it seems to show a fun side of you. It's like you have captured a deep in thought Francis of Assisi, contemplating what he should do next. The detail in the work is amazing, right down to the smallest wrinkle in his clothing. Absolutely mesmerising, Andy.👏👏👏🤗♥️🌹xxx

Thank you, dear Jacqueline. for that fabulous, observant and reflective feedback! much love and God bless, dear friend 🙂❤️🕊🙏🌷xxxx

I’ve always loved water, its movement, its colour, its power. I had the privilege of working as a hydrologist for nine years before ordination, necessarily but enjoyably observing the movement of water in full flow or even in floods. That was thirty years ago but my love for moving water has not…
