No feeble at all in my opinion! A Greater Spotted Woodpecker no less and very beautiful he is too. I like everything about your painting - the bird itself, the tree trunk, background and leaves - all beautifully and expressively painted.

I have only recently discovered the work of Charles Tunnicliffe. His Birds & animals are just wonderful. So full of life. My attempt to copy his painting is feeble by comparison.
