Thank you Carole, yes, it was hard to photograph to do justice to those metallic inks - I even tried scanning the artwork - which turned out to be worse! I used gold splatters on the background of watercoloured blues, with smudges of silver on the impasto acrylic feathers to emphasise shadow where the down appeared thickest. It turned out to be really pretty in the flesh, especially being so very small. I’ve had the idea for months and have only just had the time to paint it! I’m hoping the person I did it for will love it!! Thank you for taking the time to comment Carole :- )
