I think you have got that slightly malevolent beady look that seagulls have off to a T. I am sure the recipient will love it as it is a super painting.

Thank you so much Thea and Jenny, for taking the time to comment. It was an rather unusual commission for me. It was rather more challenging to take the photo this is based on than I imagined. It really didn't trust me at all - hence that beady eyed look it is giving me Thea! Definitely camera shy!

A commission for Christmas, for someone who loves seagulls. Based on photographs I took in Devon, this cheeky bird had bagged a prime location near the seaside benches, for an afternoon of chip thievery! Acrylic paint on acrylic paper.
