Said on the Forum - is this the Ice Queen from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Anyway, really like its ethereal appeal.

Sorry Heather no!! like I said on the forum if no one else has any suggestions I will give you a clue but I thought this might be an easy one!!!

I'm suggesting Catherine Ernshaw for Wuthering Heights..?

Jim I thought you would have got this one but no it's not Cathy from Wuthering Heights!!

Is it The Lady in White, by Willkie Colins? Love the mysterious translucency of this Linda.

You have it Carole, that's the one !!!

Ah, right. I should have got that. Great depiction Linda.

That’s really good Linda, very effective. I haven’t heard of the book.

Author from way back Fiona. Probably "The Moonstone " is his most familiar bkkok.

I haven’t heard of the book, either, but it’s a lovely painting, Linda, very ethereal with lovely textures.

Ah yes, I’ve read the moonstone, thanks Jim.

The Bride, obviously!

Thanks everyone for your comments, some right and some wrong!!!

A very effective technique Linda. She looks good!

Thanks Louise, good to let loose every now and then 😀

I don't really mind which book it is because this is fab.

Is she a bride? Bouquet in her hand? Either way, very eye catching piece.

Thanks Gudrun and Alecia, I can't really remember the storyline, perhaps the bride bit is a bit misleading, think it was a mysterious woman that a young artist Walter Hartright comes across dressed in white and lost in London.

Decided to post this as I thought it fit Dawns challenge, I started this months ago with some left over acrylic as an experiment to see what I could make out of it, I immediately saw a figure and it was just left. I remembered it this morning, and have worked on it this afternoon with more paint and a palette knife, think it might be an easy one to guess at!!
