Wow....Linda that’s just fabulous.

Thanks Ellen, buildings really seem to lend themselves to this style of painting.

Just another string to your bow Linda. I love the fascination of old abbeys, churches etc...Nice work.

This is really beautiful, very well done, Linda!

Thank you Jim and Thalia, I've had it on the go for a week now, my husband had an ankle op three weeks ago, so he's off his feet for 12 weeks, not had a lot of time for painting so I just kept going back to this and doing some more dots !!!! lol

Fantastic drawing Linda. This must have taken forever. It is so atmospheric and the medium really suits old architecture. Hope your husband recovers soon. After my ankle replacement I had to wait 3 months before I was mobile but I’m an old biddy so maybe your husband’s recovery will be nice and quick.

Ha Ha, we are old Biddy's as well Carole, can't believe it takes longer to get on your feet than it does a knee or hip joint, I didn't realize just how much he does, I'm tired out by bedtime, 🛌😨😁

Wow...Linda that is terrific! Great application, it reminds me of the old fashioned etchings, it’s so fine. You’ve taken the challenge to new heights.

Great work Linda the technique has recreated the brickwork so well best wishes to your hubby

Thank you Fiona and Dennis for your encouraging comments, I agree Fiona, the dots really accentuate the stonework and architecture more than just shading, I forgot to mention it's about 9 X 7 😀

Really appreciate your comment Carolyn, thank you 😀

That's wonderful, Linda.

A place I visited many times and this a superb rendition of a fine building.

Clever lady, I like the way you have placed it onto usual brush strokes.

Fantastic work Linda, this would have sent me bonkers:)

Dawn, Stephen, Sylvia and Val, thank you all for such positive comments and taking the time to look, 😀

Really enjoyed this challenge, I found it very relaxing. I've used a wash first and followed with various size Uni Pin in black. Rievaulx Abbey was a Cistercian abbey in Rievaulx, situated near Helmsley in the North York Moors national park. It was one of the great abbey's in England until it was siezed under Henry V111 in 1538 during the dissolution of the monasteries.
