After so many self portraits - all original and in your very distinctive and appealing style - I think I just might recognise you in a crowd.

Looking quite thoughtful here Amanda, you draw these so well now

The changing face of Amanda Bates eh? No, I do like this one, but in a different way to the watercolour. The technique is good and the viewing angle. How about collage next? That would be a new challenge. I'm off to do a self portrait in oil pastels on black, maybe with wacky colours. (Potentially for a horror poster!)

Thank you, Marjorie. Hmm. Collage. Now that would be a challenge. I look forward to seeing your oil pastel.

Same chalky pastel things (and charcoal) described in http://www.painters-online.co.uk/Gallery/Amanda-Bates-Winter-Squash-yet-again/_ga86438_pg1 . I thought that the blue paper complemented the colour range in the pastels; this is a 12x9" sheet of Murano, cropped slightly post-scan.
