I like this too...it shows what a knife is like after it's done its job...close crop is just right!

Thank you, Roger. I showed this (as a photograph on my camera) to a gentleman I encountered on a nice long walk yesterday, as part of an explanation of what a painting knife was. He said, "Oh, it's just like a little trowel!". As, indeed, it is.

When I finished Claret, there was an unaccountably large quantity of blue left over. It seemed like a shame to throw all of it away, so I turned it into an abstract-ish background for a knife painting of a painting knife. (5 x 7" board)
