Very nice Amanda, lovely reflections in the tankard, very nicely worked, great still life image

Is this also one of your knife paintings? You've really captured the solidity of the tankard - you can feel the weight of it.

PS - Stupid question (I'm good at those) - the Gallery is CALLED Palette Knife Oils...... Silly old fool.....It's me age, you know..... worn down, I am, by the weight of years and congenital dim-wittedness....

Aw, Robert, don't be so down on yourself! Who ever bothers to look at the title of the gallery anyhow (apart from pedantic technical authors, that is)? Thank you for the compliment. It's possible that knife-applied paint is especially good at solidity. The trickiest thing in this painting was getting the elipses properly round, if I recall correctly. And Ros, thank you as well.

Forgot to add: Old Tech writers' adage: *There is no such thing as a stupid question.*

Really like this one - great background !

A still life from last year; the little tankard was lovely, but colour was required - and supplied by means of coloured glass bottles placed between the drinking vessel and the window. 20 x 20 cm. Sold.
