Again, lovely. I particularly like the colours you have used for the beach.

Thank you, Gudrun. Soon I shall have enough Godrevyscapes for a book all to themselves! (I did make a Blurb book with landscapes, but had to remove the Cornish ones as there wasn't enough room for them. See my blogger blog for details of "North Hampshire and Beyond" :-) http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.co.uk/

Works very well - but I particularly like the cool light on the sea, and the way the waves move in. Go to YouTube and see some truly hideous paintings of water and the sea, by painters of the so-called wet in wet school - for their information, THIS is how to paint the sea, so it looks like water, not meringue.

Ugh. I wish I hadn't followed your suggestion now, Robert. Even though I got fed up of the guy's inane grin and skipped to the end... I feel kind of dirty. This is why I have never troubled Youtube for anything other than music videos, before.

Lovely atmospheric painting. You have certainly achieved the texture.

Thank you, Ian.

Great sky again, and lovely rocks on the beach

Porobably the last painting of Godrevy based on the New Year's Day photographs... [smiles sheepishy] ... I found some 35mm prints from the summer of 2009. This one shows more of the beach - Gwithian - and the headland - Godrevy Point - than previous views. I used my primaries (pthalo blue, lemon yellow and rose madder) unmixed in the pebbled area of the beach in an attempt to enhance the texture. Oil on canvas, 40 x 30 cm
