OLd boots have so much character and so many tales to tell.

Lovely tones in your acrylic rendering of these boots Amanda

Beautiful rendering of the boots, tones and colours are excellent. Boots look so realistic.

Are they old, Lin? 21 years... I suppose that's old for boots. Still going strong, though! As for the colours - this is pretty much my standard palette. Does it show? (Or maybe I should say that this is why :-) )

love the richness and depth of colour, which also allows the laced area to make a separate place for the eye to wander to (also liked your anecdote ..... really :-) )

Thank you, Norman.

Part 3 (of 3). Scarpa walking boots. 'Cool' primary palette: Magenta, Lemon Yellow, Phthalo Blue. With Titanium White. Acrylic on ~A4 cardboard. I thought I'd ring the changes and turn one boot upside down for the last piece in this mini series. ~~~ Blog post: http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.com/2013/10/scarpa.html
