I love your style well done!!

Really tasty looking little fella - love the way you have developed a style of your own.

Developed it, abandoned it, returned to it 15 years later. ~~~ Oh. That makes me feel old. #~~~ http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.com/2013/07/school-mural-project-style.html

Love the style of this painting - very different and very good.

Another gorgeous little rabbit - have you thought of turning all these into a children's book? I think you are on to a winner with these! Lovely, bold work.

I love these illustrative paintings Amanda!

Julie - I haven't thought of turnig these into a children's book, but they did, in a way, come from one such; the theme is heavily influenced by Richard Adams' "grown up book for children", "Watership Down." (On account of the proximity of the eponymous hill). And, of course, the project is a mural for the local primary school.

You remind me of that wonderful book Richard Adams wrote with the illustrator David Goddard and the scientist Max Hooper - Nature Day And Night; I still have my copy, published in 1978; get it if you can; fantastic illustrations, somewhat similar to your own rabbit paintings.

Not a volume I have come across, Robert, but you have piqued my interest. Fortunately, a ginormous and ubiquitous Internet book seller was able to supply a second hand copy for a small amount of money, so I look forward to seeing these illustrations and to learning a few things, too.

I love these stylised rabbits - I agree they would make great book illustrations looking forward to the finished mural
