Lovely Amanda, I love this, and I really must make more effort with oil pastels, pastel pencils for me are just to easy to pick up, start work, and 3 or 4 hours have flown past! This is a delightful scene.

Thank you, Ros. The oil pastel one was here, by the way - http://www.painters-online.co.uk/Gallery/Amanda-Bates-St-Peters-Church/_ga66462_pg1 .

What a good use of your lunch break, much better than idle chad or reading the paper and a nice result too.

Thank you, Stephen. It was even better than that - I got two lots of 20-25 minutes cycling in, too, to get to the place! (And it's *not* flat). Quite a long lunch break... (the sketch took ~ 20-25 minutes, too)

You are putting us all to shame here Amanda, artistic and physical endeavour in one lunch break!

I've drawn St. Peter's in my lunch hour before. It's a charming little church; this time it was pencil instead of oil pastel, and a better viewpoint (I think).
