Men-an-Tol by Amanda Bates
A drawing in ink, made with a brush - but a drawing nonetheless. Quink, water and white acrylic ink. I love the way that Quink separates out unpredictably into yellows and blues. The white acrylic has killed this effect in some places; I think I need to practice using slightly *less* Quink so that I don't need to put the highlights back in. Men-an-Tol is three stones on the moors in Penwith, Cornwall. My picture shows two of the stones. And yes, it's from a photograph. My photograph.
