And in green - and it works - and I like it.

Lovely study, the use of knife helped to convey the roughness of dirty wellies.

Very well painted. I love this subject.

Agree with everyone, great colours Amanda

This really caught my eye it's so appealing. Lovely painting.

If it wasnae for yer Wellies, where would you be? You'd be in the Hospingtile or the Infirmary..... Telling words, and how true, even today....

Nicely done - I do like the camouflage boots against almost camouflage foliage.

Thank you everybody. I really wasn't sure if this one would work, but it has done. It was painted specifically for a local children's charity, who will be auctioning it in September.

Really like this one, great execution.

A tricky subject for the knife; I did use a brush as well in the end. Toddler wellies were requested; I had none and so borrowed these. ~~~~ More text: http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.com/2013/07/woodland-wellies.html
