A subject perfect for a limited palette, I thought; the whitewashed tower of the ruined chapel in the Holy Ghost Cemetery stands out against the darks of the late summer trees. From a sketch with photographic backup. One of the interesting things I found in Basingstoke :-) Palette: Titanium White, Phthalo Blue, Yellow Ochre. Oil on linen canvas. 36 x 48 cm. Knife painting. Not enormously good photograph; camera batteries low, so I resorted to the tablet.
