I remember the first painting - which I liked; and I like this one even more. There's a lot of colour in it, variegated greens, a sense of depth, and this long format works well for woodland paintings even though you inevitably lose the tops of the trees: this in fact is how we see woodland in reality, but few people paint it this way.

The textures ,depths and colours make this a glorious painting Amanda

I prefer this one because it is brighter and there is more movement into the forest. Excellent painting. That should sell too!

Oil on canvas, 30 x 90 cm. Effectively a repaint of a smaller 2013 painting - see the differences on my blog: http://blog.amandabatesart.co.uk/2015/05/spectrum.html
