I feel as if I am standing right there. Lovely indication of depth too.

A wonderful piece of work. The stonework is exceptional and the depth of the foreground pool really impressive.

This painting really draws you into the scene. Those rocks and pools are magnetic and the whole perspective of the painting is so good. Beautiful work Alice.

Porthleven pier is made from sturdy granite which juts out into the sea. It withstands many storms, but on this day the waves were gently breaking and the sun was warming the rough textured stone. I enjoyed painting the rock pools formed by the receding tide and the way the light and reflections played upon their surfaces.
