A quick oil painting of a young tree that I encountered while on a 1st aid course. I came out of the door and was so amazed by the colour and brightness I whipped my phone out and took a few pics with the intention to paint it as soon as I got back to my studio. I choose a stretched 16 by 20 canvas and before I knew it I was lost in a world of paint.

I'm an artist living in Co Durham, I prefer painting in oil, mainly for the vibrant colours and how the oil can be manipulated. I love doing landscapes but have done numerous portraits.
