One day at Beamish I was watching the baker at work and had a sudden urge to paint, so i took as many pictures as I could. Pleased I did, I when I finished, I was looking at it and thought I'd missed the taps on the sink, turns out there isn't any there in the first place.

I'm an artist living in Co Durham, I prefer painting in oil, mainly for the vibrant colours and how the oil can be manipulated. I love doing landscapes but have done numerous portraits.
