This is an oil painting of my local cricket club during a match. Its on a canvas measuring 100cm by 50cm, I've been wanting to paint it for a long time but kept missing the games. Then I took loads of photos trying to get it mid bowl, I was overjoyed with the end result.

I'm an artist living in Co Durham, I prefer painting in oil, mainly for the vibrant colours and how the oil can be manipulated. I love doing landscapes but have done numerous portraits.
