My first 'En Plein Air' painting, it was painted at the top of Penshaw Monument and took 2 hours. I did plan on staying for a lot longer but due to the wind and a distinct difficulty in painting with one hand while trying to stop your canvas and easel blow away with the other, made me call it a day. Also taught me to look for a more sheltered location next time. Still...it was a very enjoyable experience. looking forward till next time. This oil painting is 10" by 12" on canvas board.
