Thank you Tania and Linda. It was a hot summer holiday (so I am led to believe) and yes, Mr. H has been something of an influence for a few years.

Ah! Linda yes, Hockney! I was thinking the painting looked very Hockney-esque, but could I heck pluck his name from my head?! Haha! ;o)

I was going to say simple and elegant, but I am sure capturing this style is far from simple.

It's worthy of an advert poster for the hotel.

Thank you Tony & Derek. It's not an hotel, it's an English owned holiday home in Spain. I am not sure the owner lets it out, either...

I have since learned the lady who owns the house on the Spanish Costa del Sol on which my painting 'The Pool' is based does let her house out for holidays.
