This is looking good.

Thanks Fred. Much appreciated. You're not related to Fred Elwell of Beverley fame by any chance are you?

Sorry no. When I started evening classes at the City and Guilds of London School of Art in 1958, that was the first question I was asked. When we visited Beverly a couple of years ago, I went into a local art shop and inquired if there were any of his works on display in town and he didn't know who I was talking about. He was such a terrific artist wasn't he.

Just coincidence then. I'm surprised that the art shop fellow didn't know Fred Elwell. The East Riding doesn't have an embarrassment of famous people :)

I am not a fan of nude paintings at all, but this one has such elegance and is so beautifully understated than even a non-believer like me find merit in it. Lovely work.

Thanks Thea. Have I got a convert? She was warm, I promise :)

Thanks Lesley. Very much appreciated.
