Thank you for your comment Nora. It is a timely confidence booster. Most of the drawings that I do are in white conte or pastel, blended with finger and paper stump to get the mid tones, left 'raw' for the highlights and using the paper colour for the deep shadows. I had eight or nine attempts at this drawing before I twigged how to get her left shoulder curving forward. Almost gave up on it.
