I like this very much - they are walking from the dark into light. A very clever painting. I love the way you depict the clothes. Is it mixed media?

Thanks Jeannette, It is mixed media, - acrylic, biro and coloured pencil.

All of them have their own particular story to tell. I know because my daughter works with the homeless who have drink , drug and mental health problems, in Edinburgh. A hard job but she loves it (most of the time) Unfortunatly the funding for this is being cut all the time so she finds it very frustrating......sorry, I'm meant to be commenting on your painting not getting political! As Jeannette says, a very clever painting, well executed, makes us think.

Val, your daughter must just be like me, I loved it too (most of the time). It seems funding is a big problem everywhere in these charities catering for the homeless. Thanks for your comments!

Hi, Adebanji, I have just caught up, so to speak, with your impressive gallery...they all have the wow factor IMHO...thank you for sharing them with us and the little story with them is good too..

Haven't been on the site for a while. These paintings just hit me. So well executed and detailed but still keeping a vibrancy. The message is not lost in the working. Can't comment on every painting. Please take this a general WOW for all of them.

Thanks so much Alan Stevens!

i agree with all what everyone else has said, i like all your work that you display on the "different strokes" sight your paintings all seem to have something to say, if i do any for that particular web site1 week doesn't seem long enough to complete,, i really like the style that you have made your own...chris

Thanks chris, but Karin now gives 2 weeks for the completion so you might want to take part in the latest one!

Its a hidden life, one that most dare not depict. But I see them, I have worked with them, helping them to improve their lives, while working for 9 years with homeless people. It wasn't easy but there were great success stories! Helping them changed the way I see the homeless forever!
