GREENLAND no 5

GREENLAND no 5

This is interesting - cold, bleak, yet colourful. Your name is very evocative but - did you paint this from life, or memory --- or from something else, like a photograph? Please forgive my cynical curiosity......

The Arctic is a theme I use frequently in paintings with inspiration from Greenland and Northern Countries, because the Northern Light is very interesting. It is a fantasy as all my paintings - I never visited Greenland but i have seen a lot of videos etc.

I really like this, so different! The cool blues and those bright little houses, beautiful.

Thank you, Carole Swingler and Robert Jones for your comments. I admire the way the population in Greenland seem to prefer living in small colourful houses as a contrast to the rough landscape.
