Hi Lauren, thanks for your comments. There was originally a figure on the left but I painted it out at a gallery's suggestion and the painting sold shortly afterwards. I guess they were right!

Hello Mark. Found your gallery while looking for Jeannette Harrison do not know how I have missed it in the past, a truely wonderful gallery from a truely great artist. I find it hard to pick a favourite but I think in the end I have to choose this one. When I see the work of artists like yourself I feel very humble and proud to be in their company.

Hi David, thank you for your comments! Venice at night is a fantastic experience; it seems like a huge deserted film set and I hope to go there again in the depths of winter for more inspiration.

I guess that it looks like it could have a story because it looks like a theatre or a film set! That's what Venice looks like at night. Mark

You have caught the light so well in this - just giving the viewer enough of a peak at the lovely old building. Great colours and you really feel you are standing under the street light - congratulations
