Interesting....The yellow, hatched crossing lines took my attention first, and it was a while before I focused on the lone figure, and now it seems to dominate the painting for me.

This puts me in mind of Edward Hoppers lighting effects. I like the mysterious shadow around the figure. I agree with Ruths comments and your other postings are impressive too.

Yes there is an influence of Hopper in this painting. I like overhead viewpoints in city pictures, it's a chance to have more diagonals and less verticals and horizontals.
